Venice (Venezia)1 Day

The city of canals is way too crowded to be worth much time. But we had to go see it before it sunk into the Adriatic!
We went to Shabbat services at the beautiful Spanish synagogue. Very cool.

Since Venice was so crowded, we hung out in the quiet Venetian Ghetto. This is a chess board made of hand blown Murano glass (a local craft that Venice is famous for). It features the Catholics versus the Jews.
