Matt's Summer

For the past several summers, I have worked extremely hard. I've had little vacation and been working in fast paced environments -- not exactly the best way to vacation. So this summer I decided to do things a little differently. No job. But that doesn't mean that I wasn't busy. Over the course of my summer activities, I saw 8 countries and 12 US States. I worked hard for the first part of the summer, then played hard during what was left over.

Here's my summer in a nutshell:

Sunrayce97 (Solar Car Race)2 weeks
1200 mile solar car race from Indianapolis to Colorado Springs.
Stanford's car came in 3rd out of 35 teams.

Marin County Fair Multimedia Funhouse1 week
This year's theme: Close Encounters of the Marin Kind.
My third year working at the fair was as fun as ever.

European Tour6 weeks
7 Countries, 14 cities. Travel by rail. Sleep at Youth Hostels.
