For the past several summers, I have worked extremely hard. I've had little vacation and been working in fast paced environments -- not exactly the best way to vacation. So this summer I decided to do things a little differently. No job. But that doesn't mean that I wasn't busy. Over the course of my summer activities, I saw 8 countries and 12 US States. I worked hard for the first part of the summer, then played hard during what was left over.
Here's my summer in a nutshell:
|Sunrayce97 (Solar Car Race)||2 weeks|
|1200 mile solar car race from Indianapolis to Colorado Springs.|
Stanford's car came in 3rd out of 35 teams.
|Marin County Fair Multimedia Funhouse||1 week|
|This year's theme: Close Encounters of the Marin Kind.|
My third year working at the fair was as fun as ever.
|European Tour||6 weeks|
|7 Countries, 14 cities. Travel by rail. Sleep at Youth Hostels.|
|Two of the most boring weeks of my life. I did nothing.
|Visit friends from high school and Rob, my roommate this year.|
Drove back from Texas with Rob. 3 days, 1900 miles. All desert!
|Back to School...||Now until eternity|
