First Alligator Sighting
Our first alligator siting was a team effort. When we first encountered the solid gree covered bayou, I pointed to a few logs in the water and was about to describe how much they looked like alligators, only to have Loraine interrupt me and proclaim that one of them IS an alligator. The other was a nearly identical log. The alligator moved slowly across the bayoo, with the green moss closing in around it so that it didn't even leave behind a trail. The log, however, stayed put.
