Lace Cookies
Grandma's Famous recipe for crunchy, buttery, thin candy-cookies.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup sugar
1 cube melted butter
1 cup Quaker Oats (uncooked)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1 egg (beaten w/ fork)
1 tsp Vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix Ingredients
Refrigerate 30 - 50 mins
Cover Cookie Sheet with foil
Place 1 tsp dough 3 - 4 inches apart

Bake at 325 degrees 5 - 12 minutes (until golden brown)
Let cool before removing from foil.

A bit buttery and they had problems sticking to the foil.

Great with Sorbet.

Serves

Makes 2 or three pans worth. Plenty!
